Smoking Ban

With the smoking ban almost upon us many people will soon be smoking their last cigarettes. Why is it so difficult to give up? People say it is because of the nicotine, well this may be a part of it but it's not the whole story. If it were you would not find people who have given up for months who still have cravings. The nicotine has long since gone from their system but they still get cravings in certain situations.

This is because the unconscious mind is programmed to associate certain situations with smoking. The only way to change this is either to let those associations gradually fade over time (which might take quite some time and a lot of willpower) or to reprogramme the unconscious mind.
